Team for Man Utd.
We looked a bit tired and out of sorts against Fulham. To be fair, the level in the Villa game was immense, so maybe we can't expect the same intensity in two games so close together. Where that leaves us for this game will be interesting to see. I'm sure most of us will be wanting to see the strongest possible team, though given that Moyes has said that he wants to win the cup for Mark Noble, sentimentality might take precedence over good sense, which would be a mistake.

Lingard is cup-tied, quite apart from looking like the Villa game completely took the crap out of him. Antonio is a concern, having asked to come off yesterday. Moyes has played it down, but it certainly looks as if Michy is a good bit short of 100%, so I will be surprised if he plays more than an hour. Bowen's form is also a concern, so if Yarmolenko is on for him, I'm hoping Odubeko might get a chance against his old club - it would be a cracking game to get his first senior goal.

I'm hoping Soucek's ridiculous red card will have been rescinded.

Fabianski
Coufal Dawson Ogbonna Cresswell
Bowen Rice Soucek Fornals
Benrahma
Antonio

Subs: Randolph/Martin, Fredericks, Johnson, Balbuena, Diop, Noble, Lanzini, Yarmolenko, Odubeko.

Yes that fatigued stuff is bollocks. Antonio is crocked, but the club don't want to say that because of the inevitable flack that will come given that it's happened less than a week after the transfer window has closed

Where did you hear that Ernie?

I’m not saying play him.

Just saying he has done for his national team so is an option.

Noble will likely play tonight anyway

If Soucek plays up top who comes into central midfield?

Fair point.

I’m just not convinced on Bowen at all.

Give him his due, if he’s selected he’ll work his socks off. That can’t be guaranteed with Yaromlenko.

It’s a disgusting situation we find ourselves in a week after the window has closed. Every single one of knew Antonio wouldn’t stay fit.

More importantly need Soucek in the middle

Pretty sure Soucek has played up top for Czech Republic.

I’d definitely have him over Yarmo or Bowen

Really hope Bowen starts up top....in fact I’d rather have Diop up there than yarmalenko

I have offered excuses simply offered a view.

As for the rest of your post it’s just you showing people’s view of you on here is correct.

Re: Team for Man Utd.
there's the team we'd like to see start, then there's the team Moyes will probably have to play.

Fredericks in for Coufal
Balbuena in for Dawson or Ogbonna
Noble in for Rice or Soucek
Fornals in for Lingard
Yarmolenko in for Antonio

No, we bottled that game against a team so out of form even Brighton went up there the following fixture and beat 'em

Stop making excuses all the time like some happy clapping raspberry.

I hope they've been practicing penalties.

Yarmo up front... the 3 attacking mids are going to have to get through a huge amount of work then
